How to lower the header image so it doesn't cover the menu?

Hi,

Is there a way to accomplish this with Sydney?

My site: http://www.brilliantlyvirtual.com/
What I want it to look like: http://www.leahkalamakis.com/

I would like the image NOT to cover the menu.

Thanks!
Elinam

Hello Elinam,

Yes, it’s possible to do. What you need to do is adding the below extra CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS from your site dashboard.

@media only screen and (min-width:1025px) {

  .site-header,
  .site-header.fixed {
    position: relative;
    background-color: #fff;
    padding: 20px 0 !important;
  }

}

Hello Kharis
I want my site header fixed above the slider also,but then slide.
I found the code on another topic, and it works, except the background/space above the slider is white instead of black. How can the code below be changed to fix this please?

I should add that the navigation turns black soon as I slide, but is white to begin with. I would like it to be black. I believe this is the white space above, how do I get rid of it as it’s even more prominent on smaller screen?? Thanks

body.home {
padding-top: 60px;
}
body.home .site-header.fixed {
background: #000000;
}
body.home .slides-container .slide-item {
background-attachment: inherit;
}

.site-header {
background-color: (#000000) !important;
}

Thanks

Hello there,

Please replace this line as it contains incorrect value.

background-color: (#000000) !important;

It should be

background-color: #000000 !important;
