How to link call to action buttons on homepage sliders to seperate pages

#1

I hope the topic title makes sense.

Basically I have three images on the homepage slider, and on each one there is a call to action button.

I would like users to be able to click on the call to action button for a particular image in the slider, and then be taken to a separate page on the site to find out more.

Is this possible?

Hi @hellow,

I don’t think that you can do it with default functionality.

I suggest you to experiment with other WordPress sliders, but it may require additional integration work.

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

At least one other moderator posted this in response to a similar question. The person who asked the question also seems to have solved it.

Could I get a second opinion?

Dear Tom,

Thank you for asking.

I was thinking that we could do that by using jQuery .append() function. Could you please try to do the following to insert custom jQuery code?

  1. Install and activate the Header and Footer Scripts plugin
  2. Go to Settings > Header and Footer Scripts panel
  3. Paste this code into the “Scripts in footer:”
  4. Save settings

Let me know how it goes. I’ll wait to hear back from you regarding your stats.

Warmest regards,
Kharis

Hi @hellow,

This solution is for adding a second button. The result will be two buttons instead of one, but they will be the same for all slides.

Is that what you want?

Kind Regards, Roman.

No.

What is the purpose of having two call to action buttons if they will both lead to the same place?

Or can each call to action button lead to somewhere different on the website?

Actually they can lead to different places.
