How to chande footer text position and icons

Hi my friends,

I’d like to know how to change the folder and pen icon. I’ve tried, but I really don’t know how to edit it.

I also have edited the footer text position before, but now I can’t remember how to move the text a little bit to the bottom.

Here is a picture to explain what I want to edit.

Thanks for your help in advance, :wink:

Hello Elano,

  1. Can you please describe how exactly you want to change those icons?

  2. Please try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in DashboardAppearanceCustomizeAdditional CSS (WordPress 4.7 and up). Also you can add CSS code directly to style.css file of your child theme.

#colophon {
    padding-bottom: 0;
    padding-top: 10px;
}

Kind Regards, Roman.

Roman, thanks for replying!

I’ve tried to the use the CSS code, but it is only changing the black part position and not the text position. I want the text a little bit to the bottom, but the code is moving the black part.

About the icons I want to edit and put a different one. For example, now it’s showing a folder as the icon, but I want an arrow instead.

Best regards

	content: '\f040';
	margin-right: 5px;
}
.widget_archive li::before {
	content: '\f133';
	margin-right: 8px;
}
.widget_pages li::before {
	content: '\f016';
	margin-right: 8px;
}
.widget_recent_comments li::before {
	content: '\f0e5';
	margin-right: 8px;
}
.widget_categories li::before {
	content: '\f003';
	margin-right: 8px;
}

I’ve found where to change the icons. You only need to change the ‘content’ number in style.css to the icon that you want.

Thanks Roman,

Elano,

  1. I have just tried to apply that CSS code on your website with browser tools once again and it worked. Can you please add it and leave a notification here?

  2. Please note that you will lose modifications after theme update if you add CSS code into main stylesheet. You should add CSS code in DashboardAppearanceCustomizeAdditional CSS (WordPress 4.7 and up) or to style.css file of your child theme.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Thanks! It’s working perfectly right now.

Roman you are really awesome! Take care.

You are welcome Elano! And have a nice day :slight_smile:

Kind Regards, Roman.
