Hovering text color in sub-menu

Hello,
I have a color-problem within my menu. I’ve already changed the main menu text color via Simple Custom CSS by adding

#mainnav ul li a, #mainnav ul li::before {
    color: #f5efe7;
}

and the color of the main menu text when hovered by adding

#mainnav ul li a:hover {
  	color: #b08948;
}

Then I changed to a transparent submenu

#mainnav .sub-menu li a {
	background: #1c1c1c;
  	background-color: transparent;
  	color: #b08948;
}

and tried:

#mainnav li:hover > .sub-menu > li > a {
  background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.5);
  color: #f5efe7;
}

for transparent hovering and the hover-text-color.

But the text-hover-color of my sub-menu doesn’t work…

Many thanks in advance for your help!
Michael

Hi,

Please try this for submenu hover text:

#mainnav li > .sub-menu > li > a:hover {
  color: #f5efe7 !important;
}

If that will not work, then please post a link to your website, so I can check.

Best Regards,
Csaba
