Horizontal scroll bar on mobile view

Hi!

It seems that my mobile site is larger then the screen-width of mobile device. When I open my homepage https://www.hendrikbornholdt.de in Chrome browser on my iPhone then I see a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page. This issue is reproducible on all pages.

Do you have any ideas how to avoid horizontal scrolling?

Best regards,
Hendrik

Hi Hendrik,

That horizontal scroll bar only appears on mobile web browser when there is a content or element, which the width is overlapping the screen width.

To prevent that horizontal scroll bar from showing, you could add the below CSS code to your website’s Additional CSS under the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

    html,
    body {
      overflow-x: hidden;
    }

Thanks for your reply.

I prefer a solution how to identify which elements are responsible for the fact that the content is wider than the screen width. Do you have any idea?

Hello there,

Finding the specific element in a page which has multiple elements is more harder and will consume more time.

I am sorry, we can’t suggest more efficient solution other than the last code I suggested.

Thank you for your understanding.
