Help on padding and margins around page-text

Help: padding and margins around page-text

Here is what my blogpages look like, perfect!

https://joslammers.nl/2019/03/28/praten/https://joslammers.nl/2019/03/28/praten/

And here is what my standard pages look like: https://joslammers.nl/boeken-voor-volwassenen/

Nice, but too littlte white around text and pictures.

How can I get the same margins and padding that the blogs have on pages? Any code I can adapt in style.css?

Appreciate any help!

Hi,

Here is the CSS code to add the space for the page content:

.page-template-page_fullwidth .container.content-wrapper {
    padding-top: 50px;
    padding-right: 100px;
    padding-bottom: 50px;
    padding-left: 100px;
}

Put the code into Customize > additional CSS

Hi Awan,

Works perfect!

Thanks a lot for your help.

Jos

I do notice though that the display on a phone after this is with a lot of white around it. Is there any way to prevent that from happening?

The newspages that have white padding on screen look perfect on the phone. Is it possible to achieve that for pages as well?

Jos

Shoud I make this a new topic, Awan? Or can you help me with this in this thread?

Question is: how can I achieve the same padding for pages that Sydney has for posts? The post-padding looks perfect on screen ánd phone but with pages I can’t get that done.

The original page-padding looks way too crowded on a pc-screen (hardly any white aorund) but perfect on a phone.

After adding this to custum css:
.page-template-page_fullwidth .container.content-wrapper {
padding-top: 50px;
padding-right: 100px;
padding-bottom: 50px;
padding-left: 100px;
}

… the padding on screen is fine but now there is too much white on a phone.

Is there a solution for this? Maybe I can use some lines of the post-template to adjust the page-template?

It’s no disaster of course, but it would be nice if I could have it look well on both screen and phone.

I appreciate your help!

Jos

To make a start with my onw solution…

I can use the post-template for my pages. Nice and clean :slight_smile:

That would leave me with only one question: is there a way to remove the ‘previous post’ and ‘next post’ from a specific page? Or more positively: is there a way to limit post navigation to a specific category?

I’ll bring that last question up as a new topic, so e can close of this one.

Thanks so far!

Jos
