Help on background shade for widgets

Hi!
I’ve been using Sydney for a long time, and still love it!

I have been trying to do:

  • put a background image with overlay on a ROW
  • instead of adding a solid color on a widget, I wanted to do exactly like the Sydney DEMO site

How do I do that?

Here is the part of the DEMO that I’m trying to copy.

Thanks

Hey Roman!
Thanks for the reply, but it doesn’t help me much.
I know how to set up something perfectly like the example, my only problem is the background of the widget.

  • I’m setting up the background of the ROW with overlay, OK
  • Creating both widgets, text, button, OK
  • But how to set the background of the widget with a transparency like the DEMO? I can only add solid colors using the Design option of the Widget.

Thanks

Oh, I see. Try to edit widget, expand Attributes section, and add this line into CSS Styles input field:

background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3);

Kind Regards, Roman.

Awesome! That’s what I needed! Thank you so much!

Keep up the good work! I love the theme.

Great, you are welcome!

By the way, it would be nice if you leave your feedback for Sydney theme on WordPress.org (if you haven’t done it already, of course), here is a quick link
