How do I remove the “Nothing Found Ready to publish your first post? Get started here.” below slider on homepage? On the Sydney Free?
Thank you for asking.
It seems you don’t have any post yet. Once you have published a post, that massage will go away. If you intentionally don’t want to have any post, try to copy the content-none.php file in your child theme. Then manually remove the message which is written right after the following line.
<?php if ( is_home() && current_user_can( 'publish_posts' ) ) : ?>
I hope this reply helps.
All I found in the content-none.php was this:
- The template part for displaying a message that posts cannot be found.
- Learn more: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy
<section class=“no-results not-found”>
<h1 class=“page-title”><?php _e( ‘Nothing Found’, ‘sydney’ ); ?></h1>
</header><!-- .page-header -->
<div class="page-content"> <?php if ( is_home() && current_user_can( 'publish_posts' ) ) : ?> <p><?php printf( __( 'Ready to publish your first post? <a href="%1$s">Get started here</a>.', 'sydney' ), esc_url( admin_url( 'post-new.php' ) ) ); ?></p> <?php elseif ( is_search() ) : ?> <p><?php _e( 'Sorry, but nothing matched your search terms. Please try again with some different keywords.', 'sydney' ); ?></p> <?php get_search_form(); ?> <?php else : ?> <p><?php _e( 'It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.', 'sydney' ); ?></p> <?php get_search_form(); ?> <?php endif; ?> </div><!-- .page-content -->
</section><!-- .no-results -->
Oh let me retry I misread your post
Try to remove the following.
<p><?php printf( __( ‘Ready to publish your first post? Get started here.’, ‘sydney’ ), esc_url( admin_url( ‘post-new.php’ ) ) ); ?></p>
In laymen’s terms? How do we remove in Dashboard? without getting into Zuckerberg coding
