Height of columns

Hi

Is there a way to have all columns the same height and nicely lined ?
No it is a bit like a mess on the frontpage.

I tried the javascript and css option, somewhere described, that doesn’t work.

With regards,

Joep

Hi,

The height is different if the image sizes are different and if the text ( post excerpt or title are of a different length ).

Do you want to limit the titles and excerpt to be the same length to have a grid look instead of masonry?

Yes, I Would Like a grid

Hi,

You can try this plugin to limit post titles: https://wordpress.org/plugins/limit-post-titles/ - add a character limit using that ( maybe a short one like 10 or 9 ), check which will work the best to show all titles on the same line.

Here you can see 5 ways to limit your post excerpt, please try any limit that may work for all of your posts to have the same amount of text ( to keep them on the same line ): http://smallenvelop.com/limit-post-excerpt-length-in-wordpress/

And if I want it this way ? So text maybe different but pictures are always in line on the next row.

Greetz,

Hi,

That’s not a good solution, because if you add fixed height, the posts below will cover parts of text ( like the last post on your screenshot ).

Having a hard time to find out how I ask a question on here as I cannot find a post button - but - does anyone know how I can simply make “column” height within a row “equal” height? I shouldn’t have to write code to make the columns in a row equal height.

Hi,

If you go here: https://athemes.com/forums/forum/alizee/ and scroll down to the bottom, there you can find a post new form.

If you read my last answer to this post, you will see that if you do the equal height and you have different length of text you may get the parts of the text covered by the post below, see the last screenshot posted by jvd88 and you’ll see what I mean.
