Header slider same picture

Hi, just getting to know Sydney theme and it’s great!
For my header slider I want to use one photo and slide different texts across. I can do this by selecting the same picture four times and it works but is there a more elegant solution?

Hello Dave,

Can you please provide a link to your website?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman,

I don’t have it live at the moment but I hope to have it up within the next week. I can let you know when it’s up, it will be sleepstory.ie

Hi, site is live today to check! Thanks

Hello Dave, thank you for the link. Try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in Customize → Additional CSS section.

#slideshow .slide-item {
    opacity: 1 !important;

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi, I added that code and it’s removed the slight “flash” between frames which is nice. It has shortened the text slider a lot though - any way to get the full text slide length as before? Don’t worry if not.

Hello Dave, that code shouldn’t affect the text slider.

Can you please provide some explanatory screenshots?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi, I’ve left the code implemented for now if you are able to see it on the site?
Otherwise I’ll be able to take screenshots in a couple of days.

Hello Dave,

I’ve just checked your site once again but text slider looks okay to me.

So please send some screenshots to illustrate your issue, when you can.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi again, I didn’t manage to take a useful screenshot but the text takes less than one second to slide on, vs the 6 seconds that it used to take without the code and which is in the header settings. Does it help?

Okay Dave, it looks like you want to increase animation duration.

If yes, then please try to add this CSS code in addition to previous:

#slideshow .text-slider {
    animation-duration: 2s;

Kind Regards, Roman.

Yes those 2 changes did the trick. Thanks for your help!

Great! You are welcome :slight_smile:

Kind Regards, Roman.
