Header padding

Hello,

I have checking in some threads how to change the size of my logo, which I managed to do by doing writting this in the CSS:

.site-logo {
max-height: 250px;
}

Now, the issue I have is that header is massive.

How can I go back to where it was and have the minimum padding with the red area just covering the logo and the menu and all on the top?
I mean same way it is Sydney demo; All on the top and padding just enough to cover the logo size

Thanks

Hello there,

Actually the padding comes from your logo image that has massive top/bottom padding. Please crop it with image editor application like Photoshop. Then reupload it.

Hi Kharis,

You are right and that is fixed now. The only issue I have is that regardless the max height I give to the logo now, is never changing and kind of blocked on this one now:

It is not too bad, just want to make a bit smaller, and again, I cannot make it happen by changing the value to 100 lets say for example

Hello there,

Could you please try to apply the following CSS code through the Simple Custom CSS plugin or child theme’s style.css?

.site-logo{
  max-height: 40px;
}

Let me know how it works.

Kharis

That worked perfectly
Thanks a lot.

One more thing- I have the static menu selected, but is not static at all. I would like the header red row to remain visible all the time same as Sydney demo website header menu:
This is the code I have tried but not working:
.site-header.fixed {
position: fixed !important;
}

Any help?

Hello there,

Your header bar is always visible already as seen on this screencast: https://cloudup.com/c1ZfUQ8eT-s

Have you been able to manage it?

Kharis

Hi Kharis,

What I mean is for the header red bar to stay red all the time with no need to scroll down for it.

That way, in pages where I have a white background would be visible

Regards

Try adding this code to make it red all the time.

.site-header{
  background-color: rgba(214,55,55,0.9);
}

It worked!
Thanks a lot Kharis
