Header image on frontpage

#1

Hi. By default, on the front-page, the graphic header and any background graphic that I add to a widget has a grey overlay that washes out the colors of the original graphic. I choose my graphics for their vibrant color, but because of the grey overlay, my site is very dark. Is there a way to just have the actual image show without the overlay? Thanks.

Hello @coachron,

Please try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code to your site with Simple Custom CSS plugin (just copy CSS code and paste it in Dashboard → Appearance → Custom CSS after installing and activating the plugin). Also you can add CSS code directly to style.css file of your child theme.

div.header-image::after {
    display: none !important;
}

div.row-overlay {
    background-color: transparent !important;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.
