Header Image Background - colour change

Hi,

I’m trying to make the colour overlay on the header image lighter (it is currently black/dark grey) but I cannot find the option to change this on the Customize Theme menu. Can anyone advise how I can do this?

Also, I would like to reduce the font size of the header title if possible. It spans almost the entire page at the moment.

Thanks,

Hello there,

Thank you for getting in touch here.

To change the main header image overlay, lease try to apply the following CSS code through the Simple Custom CSS plugin or child theme’s style.css.

.header-image:after{
  background: rgba(246,204,66,0.6);
}

It uses RGB color with alpha value as the opacity level.

R: 246
G: 204
B: 66
A: 0.6 (It ranges from 0 to 1)

To know the RGB code of a color, you can use this tool http://www.colorspire.com/rgb-color-wheel/.

To reduce the font size of the header title, apply the following CSS code:

@media only screen and (min-width:768px){

  .header-text{
    font-size: 38px !important;
  }

}
