Great Mag category page

Hi. I know I’ve seen this but I can’t find it now. How do I stop it saying ‘category’ in front of the category on the categories pages? Thanks.

You can hide it using this CSS code below:

.archive-header {
    display: none;

Put the code into Customize > additional CSS.

Sorry - I still want the category name to be there - just not with it saying, ‘CATEGORY:’ before.

Is that possible?

Thanks so much for your attention.

Oh I see… the use this code instead:

header.archive-header {
    overflow: hidden;

header.archive-header:before {
    content: '';
    position: absolute;
    width: 40px;
    left: 0;
    height: 70px;
    background: white;

@media (min-width: 1024px){
    header.archive-header:before {
     left: 15px;

Thanks for your help. No, That didn’t work. See screengrab. hide-category

Thanks for your time.

Is there a way of editing the PHP?

This is working on the demo site. Can you share your site URL here?
There is no need to edit the PHP code, the code above just to hide the “category” word.

Or, according to the code above, maybe you can try to adjust the “left” value.

Hi. I got rid of ‘Category’ with a php plug-in.

I wonder if you might know how to reduce the padding around the category title though? It’s really big!

I’m guessing that should be css?

(Also the background colour there.)

Thank you,

PS - sorry - also the padding within the category header box.

Hi, using the plugins is a good choice too.

for the spaces issue, I already sent you a replies on another post (your post). Please check.
