Google ads not integrating with theme

I recently added google ads to my website using AdSense.

It has not integrated well with the theme and often causes large gaps between paragraphs even where i have not asked for ads to appear.

All suggestions welcome.

Thank you

Can you please provide a link to your website and some explanatory screenshots?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman

Thanks for getting back to me.

My site is:

Please see attached screenshots of the issue. You can find them more or less on every page. All pages are available from the homepage.

Thank you.

Thank you Tom,

Can you please also describe how exactly you added the ads?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman.

I’m adding the google script in the “Text” tab for ads to appear between paragraphs within the post and I’m also using sidebar, footer and header text widgets with varied levels of success i.e. Ads placed using widgets only appear in these places on certain posts. Rather than across the site.

Thanks for your help.

Hello Tom,

Did you try to switch to a default theme and see if the issue persists?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you - went on holiday and have been catching up ever since.

Anyway first problem resolved but i have a similar different issue with the mobile site only.

When you tap menu the dropdown list is displayed behind the google add and you does not display properly making it very hard to navigate. See attached.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Thank you!

Hello Tom, try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in Customize → Additional CSS section.

@media (max-width: 60em) {
    .main-navigation ul {
        width: 16em !important;

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

HI Roman

That fixed the width issue but the menu is still appearing behind the google ads? See attached.
Any further suggestions most welcome.

Hello Tom,

Can you please provide a link to affected page?

Kind Regards, Roman.
