Full Width Posts Page

Hi,

I am trying to make all my pages full width.

I can easily edit posts and most page types to be full width using Edit Page > Page Attributes > Template > Full Width.

However, when I try to edit my posts page, the Template option is no longer visible under Page Attributes. How can I set the same Template for a posts page as other the page types?

Thanks!
Adam

Hi,

Please post a link to your Posts Page, so I can give you some Custom CSS to make it full width.

Thanks Csaba. Here’s the link:

Oops, just noticed that my posts in fact are also not full width.

Hi,

You can hide the sidebar on the blog page with this Custom CSS:

.blog #secondary {
    display: none !important;
}

.blog #primary {
    width: 100% !important;
}

You can also make the Single Posts to be full-width with this Custom CSS:

.single-post #secondary {
    display: none !important;
}

.single-post #primary {
    width: 100% !important;
}

The images on Blog page will not be full-width, because they are not as wide as the content area became, so if you want to have your images full-width as well, then please upload larger images ( with around 1200px width ).

Please add the above CSS to your Child Theme’s style.css or in case you haven’t setup a Child Theme already, then you can also use this plugin to add the CSS to it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ so you will not loose the changes on theme updates.

Please let me know how it works.

Best Regards,
Csaba

This is perfect, thanks so much!
