Full Width Posts & Disable Sidebar on Posts

Hi,

Please see a link to my website here: http://passtheketchup.co.uk

Where is the option to disable the sidebar for posts? I have looked in the “Customize” section and am unable to find anything the controls this feature. I am happy for the sidebar to appear on the front page/pages but would like the sidebar turned off on posts so that the posts can be full width.

Thank you.

Hello PTK,

Please try to do the following.

  1. Go to your wp-content/themes/fashionistas folder via SFTP or cPanel, open single.php file with a text editor, remove <?php get_sidebar(); ?> string, save your changes, override modified .php file in a child theme (if you don’t want to lose your modification after theme update).

  2. Also please add the following CSS code in order to stretch single post content area. You can add CSS code in DashboardAppearanceCustomizeAdditional CSS (WordPress 4.7 and up). Also you can add CSS code directly to style.css file of your child theme.

body.single-post div#content {
    margin: 0;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.
