Frosted Glass behind Slider Text

Hello,
I am currently using Sydney and am wondering if there is a way to create a bar that stretches across the screen behind the slider text to increase readability. Something transparent so you can still see the image behind it but frosted or something to increase the visibility of the slide text area.

Thank you.

Hello there,

Thank you for getting in touch here.

In order to achieve that objective, could you please try to apply the following CSS code through the Simple Custom CSS plugin or child theme’s style.css?

.header-slider:after{
  display: block;
  content: '';
  position: absolute;
  width: 100%;
  height: 100%;
  top: 0;
  left: 0;
  background: rgba(0,0,0,0.4);
  z-index: 2;
}

.text-slider-section{
  z-index: 3;
}

You might want to adjust the overlay opacity. Adjust this line background: rgba(0,0,0,0.4);. The opacity is currently 0.4, it ranges from 0 to 1.

Thank you Kharis for responding.
I have tried the CSS code and this is unfortunately not what I am asking for. This is the effect but I would not like it to cover the whole slider just a bar behind the text not the whole image.

Hello there,

Try to apply the following:

.slide-inner{
  background: rgba(0,0,0,0.4);
}

Let me know how it goes.

Kharis
