Front Page Menu colour

Hi guys,

Just wondering how to make the menu colour black on the front page of my site (www.bistrocamille.com.au). I would like to make the front page menu the same (black bar with white text) as on www.bistrocamille.com.au/menu but I don’t see any option for that.

Cheers,

Will

Dear Will,

Could you please try to apply the following CSS code through the Simple Custom CSS plugin or child theme’s style.css?

.home .site-header{
   background-color: rgb(10,10,10) !important;
}

Regards,
Kharis

Hi Kharis,

Thanks for your help on this. That has worked, now the only issue is there is a gap between the menu and the contact info, you can see the photo moving through the gap. Any ideas how to fill that in? Also, the menu colour on the other pages is slightly lighter than on the home page, yet I’ve set it to completely black in the customizer. Thoughts?

Cheers,

Will

Dear Will,

Please replace the code I suggested previously with this one:

.site-header{
  background-color: rgb(10,10,10) !important;
	padding-top: 53px !important;
}

.home .site-header{
	margin-top: 53px !important;
}

Regards,
Kharis

Hi Kharis,

I added the new code however now it has disappeared completely :frowning:

Cheers,

Will

Hi Kharis,

I removed the second bit of code after it made the black bar vanish, then I put in the original code to just live with the gap but for some reason I can’t get the black bar back at all.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hello there,

Please try adding this code:

.site-header{
  background-color: rgb(10,10,10) !important;
}

Kharis

Still no good, I’ve sent you login credentials if you would like to have a look at this also?

Really appreciate your time on this Kharis!
