Font styling of the text

Is is possible to style the text in the widgets (about us for instance). Now it is impossible to style anything (not even bold, italic) even not with html tags in the text.
Is possible so that we can style the text with the normail html tags…

Hi,

Text can be styled with some Custom CSS, please post a link to your website and let Us know what you want to style and how, so we can give you the Custom CSS for that.

Hi,

http://www.marijkeschermer.nl/website

I would like to style all the text that i used, with normal text styles:
(bold/italic and enter(returns) and links.

thnx!

Hi,

Yes you can change all the text to bold / italic with this Custom CSS:

font {
    font-weight: bold !important;
    font-style: italic !important;
}

Add the above CSS to your Child Theme’s style.css or in case you haven’t setup a Child Theme already, then you can also use this plugin to add the CSS to it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ so you will not loose the changes on theme updates.

Please let me know how it works.

Hi Csaba,
I added the code to my custom css, but nothing changed.

But I meant with the original question above the following:
I would like to be able to style the text in the widgets:
for instance there is the widget you created ABOUT US.
I would like to be able to style the text in that widget:
(where is says: add a bit of info about your firm).
I have typed some text there but I would like be able
to have some words there in BOLD some in italic, and use an ENTER.
So that I can layout that text.

I don’t think it is possible with just the custom css code?:

kind regards,

Mark

Hi,

You can make the widget titles bold / italic with this Custom CSS:

.panel-grid-cell .widget-title span {
    font-style: italic !important;
    font-weight: bold !important;
}

and the about-text can be modified with this Custom CSS:

.about-text {
    font-style: italic !important;
    font-weight: bold !important;
}

These can be done with just Custom CSS.

I think the idea was that it would be nice to be able to format the about-text, with some specific words in bold and some line-breaks and whatnot. Being able to customize the CSS is nice, but it doesn’t solve this issue.

Hi,

Do you want to style specific words inside a text? So you don’t want to make the whole text area bold and / or italic? You can do that using Visual Editor and selecting areas from your text which you can make italic and / or bold, so you can do this on Posts and pages and where Visual Editor is available.
