First, the header image didn't show at all, now it shows, but in the wrong place

Hi, I’m trying to use Greatmag to create a blog. I added the header image in the page builder widget, and it wouldn’t show at all. (I had no ads running and the only other widget I have is akismet.)

I removed the image and added it back again, and now shows in the wrong place?

I made sure that the image is 1920 X 600.

I’m not sure what’s wrong and I’ve read the documentation. Thank you in advance if you can show me what’s wrong.

Hello there,

Nothing wrong with it – as it’s designed that way. If you want to apply a background image to the area where the site title and description belong to, you’d add this CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS from dashboard.

    .site-branding {
      background-image: url("http://yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/path/to/your-image.jpg");
      background-size: cover;
      background-position: center center;
    }

Replace http://yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/path/to/your-image.jpg with your image URL path. You can get it from media library under Dashboard > Media.

Oh, thank you! I mis-understood what it meant by “header image” then since that refers to an image under the menu. I will study the CSS and try to better understand it. Thank you for your help.

Thank you, that works. I’m most grateful. :))

You’re welcome!
