Employee page modification

Hi,

This employee page on our staging website
http://909.e3b.myftpupload.com/employees/

We want to put some custom text inside html on top of the page. I tried to edit PHP but it broke the whole website. Also title of website can not be updated due to this now.

Would you please provide guidance how to update HTML on this page only?

Thanks

Hello @itsmehir,

Please describe what exactly you want to achieve.

Kind Regards, Roman.

We want to put introduction paragraph before all clickable photo starts on page.

Thanks

Hello @itsmehir,

Can you please provide some explanatory screenshots?

You can upload screenshots to your WordPress Media Library and share a link, or you can use one of the online services (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).

Kind Regards, Roman.

Here is the screenshot of the page and explanation of what we want to achieve.

Hello @itsmehir,

Please try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in DashboardAppearanceCustomizeAdditional CSS (WordPress 4.7 and up). Also you can add CSS code directly to style.css file of your child theme.

div#content > div.content-wrapper.container::before {
    content: 'Intro';
    font-size: 32px;
    margin: 0 27px 10px;
    border: 2px solid black;
    padding: 0 15px;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Roman, When I said Intro, I meant the whole introduction paragraph on employee page and not just word ‘Intro’. I am not sure if this can be achieved from CSS only. I believe PHP code of that page needs modification. I tried but it affects other pages too.

I hope now you have better understanding of issue. Thanks

Hello @itsmehir,

Please try to copy archive-employees.php file from the parent theme to your child theme and edit it there.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Yes, I will do that. I need a piece of code which I can insert at the begining of PHP file of employee page to have Introduction paragraph there.

Hello @itsmehir,

When you open that file you’ll see this code on row 10-12:

	<?php do_action('sydney_before_content'); ?>

	<div id="primary" class="content-area">

…put a div between those lines like this:

	<?php do_action('sydney_before_content'); ?>

	<div>Intro</div>

	<div id="primary" class="content-area">

…then add/style content accordingly to your needs.

Kind Regards, Roman.

it seems working, sorry for late update.
