Editing the header image on the 404 error page

Hey guys!

Im a newbie and I wanted to add a custom header image on the 404 page on my website.
I can’t find the template for the 404 to toggle the individual header image as I do with normal pages.

So I was wondering if there’s a way to do that using a custom CSS code?

Thanks!
P.S. Awesome work guys. Tried out many themes, but none of them even came close to Moesia! :slight_smile:

Hello there,

I would like to apologize in advance for delayed respond.

In order to achieve that objective, could you please try to apply the following CSS code through the Simple Custom CSS plugin?

.error404 .has-banner:after{
   background-image: url('URL_PATH_TO_YOUR_IMAGE');
}

Change the URL_PATH_TO_YOUR_IMAGE to your image URL. You might need to upload your image through WP Dashboard > Media > Add New.

Let me know how it helps.

Kharis

Hi Kharis!
It worked!
Thank you so much for your help :smiley:

Since I am a newbie, and I don’t know CSS, could you tell me how you knew how to select the header image element?

I was trying to do the same thing and I had the same snippet but I didn’t know about the .has-banner:after

What I was using was something like this

 .error404 .header-image{
   background-image: url('URL_PATH_TO_YOUR_IMAGE');
}

I apologize if this is a very rudimentary question, but like I said, I’m new to this and don’t know much CSS.

Thank you very much :slight_smile:
