Drop Shadow for wrapper

Hi there,
me again. Is there a way to add a drop shadow around the content wrapper?
Thanks and best regards,
Peter

Hello Peter,

Can you please provide some explanatory screenshots that illustrate the desired drop shadow?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello Roman,
I was thinking about a subtle shadow around the text body like this:

Also, the girls are beautiful :wink:

Best regards,
Peter

Hello Peter,

Looks like you are right about the girls :slight_smile:

Please try to use the following CSS code to add some shadow.

You can add CSS code to your site with Simple Custom CSS plugin (just copy CSS code and paste it in Dashboard → Appearance → Custom CSS after installing and activating the plugin). Also you can add CSS code directly to style.css file of your child theme.

.container.content-wrapper {
    box-shadow: 0px 0px 10px white;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello Roman,
thank you - that’s perfect! Now that I have gained a taste for shadows… can I also put them around the header and the sidebar and sticky menus?
Thanks again and kind regards,
Peter

Please try to use the following CSS code instead of previous.

.container.content-wrapper,
#slideshow,
.float-header {
    box-shadow: 0px 0px 10px white;
}

#secondary {
    box-shadow: 0px 0px 10px grey;
}

Kind Regards, Roman.

So simple and elegant, true genius!
Thank you so much Roman!
Best, Peter

You are welcome Peter!

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello @roman

I want to add a shadow after collapse of two columns, like backlinko.com. is it possible to do that with Sydney theme?

I divided the row into two halves and put sunpbscription button on the left and my picture on the right. I want to separate the bothe with a shadow and also reduce the top padding in Mobile and tablets.

Hello,

Please create a new topic for your question to keep forum in good order and make it easier to help you. I’ll close this topic to avoid confusion.

Kind Regards, Roman.
