Disable parallax for background images

Hi guys! Have been searching all other the forum for a solution but couldn’t find one.

When adding a Text widget for my main page I use background image. It has nice overlay but parallax doesnt look good with some images. Could i keep the effect for one and disable it for another?

http://online-time.ru/ here is the link so you could have a look on what i mean.

Thank you in advance.

Hello @pum4ik,

Can you please specify where do you want to remove parallax effect? You can use Russian language if you want.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman,

The text widget with a title “Стань частью нашей команды”. Would be perfect if I could turn it off just here.

Thank you

Hello @pum4ik,

Please try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in DashboardAppearanceCustomizeAdditional CSS (WordPress 4.7 and up). Also you can add CSS code directly to style.css file of your child theme.

body.home section#text-14 {
    background-attachment: scroll;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman,

Thank you so much! It worked!

I tried to make an overlay lighter, as I did with header image but it doesn’t seem to work. I used this code:

body.home section#text-14::after {
    background-color: transparent;
background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);
}

Hello @pum4ik,

Please try to use this CSS code in order to change that row overlay transparency:

section#text-14 > div.row-overlay {
    background-color: rgba(37, 46, 53, 0.5);
}

Please let me know if you need more help.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Thank you so much! You were a tremendous help!

Have a great day!

You are welcome Natalika!

And have a great day as well :slight_smile:

Kind Regards, Roman.
