Dark overlays on images

I see how to add parallax style images but by default they have a dark overlay over them and I was wondering if there was a piece of code that would eliminate the overlay but just one image and not globally.

Hello Esteban,

to reduce the overlay effect for a single image completely, use the following code:

pg-X-X .overlay {
  background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0) !important;

The last 0 is the opacity, you can also try “0.2” to reduce the effect only.

You have to find out your page id (pg-X-X) for the specific row. Use the webdeveloper tools of your browser to inspec your site or give us a link to your page and tell us which image shouldn’t have this overlay.

Copy the code into your child themes style.css or custom css plugin.

Best regards,

Thank you for your response.

I believe the page id is pgc-8-2-0. I am trying to test this on the opacity of the image in the Say Something More on this page http://creativew.com/theme.

Boom. Got it!

Thanks to your direction Keymaster. And thanks of that extra bit of code to to allow me to minimize but not eliminate the opacity completely. Very cool!

Alright, great that you found everything you need :slight_smile:
