CSS totally not working

Hi, thanks for all of your help recently. I had to switch my site over to local by flywheel away from MAMP, and it appears that my child theme has stopped working. I have the following code in my child theme

Sydney (the parent theme)
mindfulness (the child theme)

In mindfulness the code for each of the folders is as follows

  1. Functions:
    <?php
    add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘sydney_child_enqueue_parent_styles’);
    function sydney_child_enqueue_parent_styles() {

$parent_style = ‘child-style’;

wp_enqueue_style( $parent_style, get_template_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’ );

wp_enqueue_style( ‘sydney_child-style’,
get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’,
array( $parent_style ),
wp_get_theme()->get(‘Version’)
);

}

  1. Header
  1. Footer

/**

  • The template for displaying the footer.

  • Contains the closing of the #content div and all content after

  • @package Sydney
    */
    ?>

    <?php do_action('sydney_before_footer'); ?> <?php if ( is_active_sidebar( 'footer-1' ) ) : ?>
     <?php get_sidebar('footer'); ?>

    <?php endif; ?>

    <?php sydney_get_svg_icon( 'icon-chevron-up', true ); ?>

    <?php printf( __( ' Copyright '), 'Copyright ' ); ?><?php echo date( __( 'Y') ); ?> |
    <?php do_action('sydney_after_footer'); ?>
<?php wp_footer(); ?>
  1. Style
    a:hover {
    font-size: 102% !important;
    }
    .home-column:hover {
    transition: all .2s ease-in-out;
    transform: scale(1.1);
    cursor: pointer;
    z-index: 1;
    }

.text-custom{
font-size: 25px;
}

.elementor-button:hover {
background-color: transparent !important;
border: 1px solid #37DBC2 ;
}

I’ve attached a photo so you can see how it has no style (it’s of the side bar which is now in the footer)

Hello there,

Please download our child theme and check its functions.php file.

Remove your child theme’s function that is aimed to load the parent and child styles as below.

    add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘sydney_child_enqueue_parent_styles’);
    function sydney_child_enqueue_parent_styles() {
        // Code trimmed
    }

And replicate this function from our child theme.

    /**
     * Enqueues the parent stylesheet. Do not remove this function.
     *
     */
    add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'sydney_child_enqueue' );
    function sydney_child_enqueue() {

        $parent_style = 'parent-style';

        wp_enqueue_style( $parent_style, get_template_directory_uri() . '/style.css' );

        wp_enqueue_style( 'child-style',
            get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/style.css',
            array( $parent_style ),
            wp_get_theme()->get('Version')
        );

    }

Let me know how it goes.

Stay safe.
Have an excellent day :slight_smile:

Regards,
Kharis
