Creating a Separare Header Area like in Talon Theme

Is it possible to create a separate header section/area in Sydney similar to Talon Theme

In Sydney I find that the header is part of the slider.

I can make it dark if I want using #masthead {background-color: #252525; css code as mentioned in a previous post but I am looking to customized it as per Talon. Is it possible

Would appreciate any assistance provided.

I’m not sure what exactly you want to achieve, can you please describe it more precisely?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman

Sorry to confuse you. Actually I am totally new to Wordpress and relatively
new to web designing.

I want to create a permanent header on top of my homepage followed by a
slider in the Sydney Theme. Please see the 2 attachments:

a) for the Talon Theme the header area which has the Site Title and Menu
seems to be a permanent row (white in colour above the image). The Title
and Menu doesn’t overlay over the images.

b) Sydney theme, The Title and Menu area overlays over the image and does
not have a separate area.

Please see the images attached for both themes.

Am I just seeing it wrongly :slight_smile:

Thanks a lot and kind regards

Hello, you can try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in Dashboard → Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS.

#masthead {
    position: static;
