Creating a Project Page

#1

Hello,
I have used the Project Widget on the front page to show several “Latest Projects” and then provided a link to a Project Page that I created, but they don’t look or act the same.

Latest Projects from Homepage: https://snag.gy/slIpzr.jpg

Project Page I Created using Project Widget: https://snag.gy/juRMWU.jpg

Two things:

  1. is there a way to replicate the look and feel that is shown on the HomePage? Blocks for pictures and list of Slugs for searching?

  2. Is there a way to get rid of the words: A post type for your projects under the Projects Header?

Thank you.

Hello there,

yoursite.com/projects will always load index archive of project entries, which lists projects vertically – like regular posts index. It’s not an issue because it’s designed as it is.

The solution is to create a new page and manually insert the Projects widgets with the settings exactly like you have in homepage. Name your page as “Our Projects”, so that the link will read yoursite.com/our-projects. Then you’d navigate to menu administration panel (Appearance > Menus) to replace current Project menu link with this page.
