Count down widget not working with sydney pro theme

Hello,

Me and my friend have noticed that the countdown widget for elementor pro is selective in which theme it works with. So far we have got it to work with ‘OceanWP’ and ‘TwentyNineteen’.

We’ve updated the plugin and disabling other plugins to test this with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thomas

Hello Thomas,

Is there any link to your site to share here? So I can check and inspect what might be stopping it.

Hello Thomas,

I tried to replicate it on my test site and found that this issue only presents when Elementor Canvas template is active. Try Front Page template instead. Add the below custom CSS code to remove header and footer.

    .page-id-1109 .preloader,
    .page-id-1109 .site-header,
    .page-id-1109 .sydney-hero-area ,
    .page-id-1109 .go-top,
    .page-id-1109 .site-footer {
      height: 0;
      overflow: hidden;
      display: none !important;
    }

Replace 1109 with your page ID number.

We know that it shoudn’t be happen. We’ll fix and add it to next version update.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Kharis

Hello Kharris,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I’d like to mention that there is no ‘Front Page’ page layout option;

Instead it uses Elementors ‘Templates’ , please see the attached image.

Many thanks

Tom

Hello Tom,

It will look something like this if nothing has changed in theme’s files. Check the page-templates folder inside theme’s folder.

Do these files present in there?

Probably you might be running older version of Sydney Pro?

Kharis

Hello Kharris,

We are running the latest version of the sydney pro theme ‘2.0.13’.

We’ve checked the page-templates folder inside the theme’s folder and it’s in there.

I’d also like to mention that the libraries have been replaced by templates, please see the below video.

How to Put Maintenance Mode on WordPress with Elementor (No Other Plugin Needed)

Also please look at this video which explains the Elementor templates we was refering to in my previous post.
