Content is wider than screen on desktop (mobile is great)

Hi there, @roman

Thank you for your message on creating a new topic. :slight_smile:

I’ve been facing an issue (“content is wider than screen and clickable elements are too close”).

The crazy thing is that it looks great on mobile (I mean, there’s no horizontal bar, and content is not wider than screen).

However, the desktop version of the site shows a horizontal bar. Here is the website:

I just don’t know what to do here to fix the desktop issue.

I recently built a friend’s website also using your Sydney theme, and it looks perfect on desktop (there’s no horizontal bar).

What could be possibly happening to my site?

Thank you in advance, guys!

Hello Eky,

I’ve just checked that website and it looks like the issue is already resolved, is it correct?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi, @roman

Indeed, this version of the website is the only one that seems to be fine. If you take a quick look at

, the horizontal bar pops up. I’d be glad if you check whether it shows up to you as well, and what could be done to fix it.

Warmest regards, and thank you.

Hello Eky,

I’m not sure what causes your issue, but you can try to use the following CSS code as a workaround. You can add CSS code in Customize → Additional CSS section.

body {
    overflow-x: hidden;

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

OMG! It worked pretty well with your code, @roman! Thank you so much!

Great! You are welcome Eky :slight_smile:

Kind Regards, Roman.
