Color of the body

Hello there,

I am having extreme difficulty trying to change the colour of body background on my site (http://www.rhinotears.org/tears/) from white, to color #534F3F.

I also can not have both my logo and site title/tagline present at the same time - why is that?

Thanks, Ed

change into style.css file
add background color in style.css.
When you will open the style.css the code will show as below
body {

font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif;
font-size: 14px;
color: #656D6D;
word-wrap: break-word;
line-height: 1.9;
letter-spacing: 1px;
background-color: #000000;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: 100% 65%;
font-weight: 300;
text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;

}
Change to background-color: # code to your desire color code .
That’s it
Or you can change from customize-> colors-> background colors

Many thanks for your help.

I believe I have done what you have recommended but still does not seem to work.

Is this correct.

Many thanks, Ed

Hello Ed,

Please note that you will lose your changes after theme update if you edit style.css file directly.

I’m not sure what exactly you want to achieve. Can you please provide some explanatory screenshots?

It’s completely normal, logo image replaces Site Title and Tagline text.

Kind Regards, Roman.

I am trying to make the white part on my page the same colour as the background. So I am trying to make that entire page the brown colour as shown in the photo.

Thanks,
Ed

Hello Ed,

You can try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in Dashboard → Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS.

article.hentry {
    background-color: transparent;
    border: none;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.
