Changing header image on Posts page

In the Moesia theme, I’m having an issue changing the header image on the blog posts page. I go to ‘Customizing static front page’ and designate a page to show the blog posts. Then when I try to edit that page and choose an image to be the individual header image it does not show up. If the page is not selected to show the blog posts, then it will show the header image I’ve uploaded. At this point, all it will let me do is show the same header image as the front page or turn it off … how do I get it to use the header image I’ve uploaded for that page? I would like each page to have their own header image. Your help is greatly appreciated. thank you

Hi,

What you mean by “choose an image to be the individual header image it does not show up”? How I know there is no individual header image option, the header image you choose will show up on every page, except if you check “Check this box if you want to disable the header image and text on all pages except the front page.” if this one is checked, then the header image will be shown only on homepage.

You want to have other header image on your Blog page? Please post a link to your website, so we can check.

Csaba

As you edit each page it gives you the option to edit:

Individual header image
Here you can set header images and welcome text for single pages.
(click) Toggle individual header image for this page
Header image upload
Header title
Header logo
Header text
Header button title
Header button link

If the Toggle individual header image is selected the page will have its own header. For example: http://roverrehabwi.com … has an image for each page except the ‘Tips’ page.

The Tips page has been designated as the posts page here:
Under Customizing > Static Front Page > Posts page

If I deselect the Tips page to be the Posts page under Customizing and then view the Tips page … it will show the header image that I have uploaded when editing the page as described above.

It must have something to do with the style of the Posts Page that is overriding the edits I’ve made on the page.

Hi,

Yes, I’ve checked this and on Blog Page ( Your Latest Posts ) there is no Header image, you can check that in Our demo too: http://demo.athemes.com/moesia/blog/

Yes. My question is … I would like there to be a Header image (other then the same one that is on the front page) to be on the Blog page. Can you help me do that?

I have the same question/issue. I would like a header on the Posts Page, but not the large one like on the home page.
Hope you can help us!

Has this issue been fixed? On every other page than the page that is set for blog posts, we can toggle the header image. On my site, the header on the home page and the header at http://setup.strategystix.com/blog/. However, I have checked the toggle header box on http://setup.strategystix.com/blog/ and selected a different image but it is not showing up. Thank you.

Hi,

On Blog page by default there is no header image, but you want to change the image you added to http://setup.strategystix.com/blog/ ( the image with the white background and a man on right ) with an other image? Please let me know and also post here a link to an image to what you want to change it to, so I can give you a Custom CSS to change it only on your Blog page.

Best Regards,
Csaba

Thank you. http://setup.strategystix.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/strategystix-home-e1472157528250.jpeg

Hi,

You can change the image only on your blog page with this Custom CSS:

@media only screen and (min-width: 1025px) {
.blog .has-banner:after {
    background-image: url("http://setup.strategystix.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/strategystix-home-e1472157528250.jpeg") !important;
}
}

Please add the above CSS to your Child Theme’s style.css or in case you haven’t setup a Child Theme already, then you can also use this plugin to add the CSS to it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ so you will not loose the changes on theme updates.

Please let me know how it works.

Thank you. It looks good on the blog page except that I can’t get the header title and text to appear. Also, how do I get the header on each of the individual blog pages?

Also, the new header does not appear on http://strategystix.com/blog/ when viewing the page on a small screen device such as an iPhone. Thank you.

Any thoughts on the two previous posts? Thank you.

Hi,

Please try this Custom CSS instead to make the header image to appear on all devices:

.blog .has-banner:after {
    background-image: url("http://setup.strategystix.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/strategystix-home-e1472157528250.jpeg") !important;
}

Which header title doesn’t appear? You didn’t had nothing like that over the default header too, can you please clarify which header title isn’t showing? Also if you have a page where that is showing, please post a link to it, so I can check.

Best Regards,
Csaba

Hi thanks for the custom CSS to help change the header image on posts page. I used it and it works but I am still having the same issue as the person above because I cannot change the text now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Link to my site is here The text that I have there is the same as the Front Page text but is not what I want there. Thanks.

Hi,

Unfortunately the text can’t be changed, what we can do is to hide the text with this Custom CSS on the Blog page and add the text over the image using a Photo Editor Application:

.blog .welcome-info {
    display: none !important;
}

Please let me know how it works.

Csaba

Ok great that helped and is a good idea. I currently have the CSS in my coding so that the image will appear on multiple devices but it still isn’t showing up on my iPhone. Is there another CSS that you think may work instead of the one previously mentioned? Thanks again for your help.

Also, this is a bit off-subject but I cannot find the answer in the forums. Is it any way to make my posts correlate with the particular subject I want them to? For example, I just published a post about travel and would like to publish on my “travel” page as well as on my posts page. Is this possible with the theme or can it only be published to my posts page? Here’s a link to the post. RamonSmothers.com Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Can you please post a link to your Travel Page and clarify where / how you would like to show that blog post.

Best Regards,
Csaba

Thanks for the speedy response here’s a link to my travel page. RamonSmothers.com I’d like for the post I just directed you to previously, to also display on the travel page and I’d like for all of my future travel posts to post to this page. Not sure if it’s possible since I have my posts page set as “Blog” but maybe it is. Thanks for your help.
