Changing font size in title and text of widgets

I’m altering font size in widget only.

By adding this font-size: 15px; in custom CSS for specific widget, text font changes, but title font doesn’t change it’s size.

What line of code should I use to change the title font size too?

thanks

Hello, you can use this selector for the widget title .widget-title

I’m not sure if I got it right by adding this to custom CSS of specific widget no changes to size of titles happens

can you post a link to your site?

Site is develop in local environment, sadly I have no link to share.

However I believe that I weren’t clear enough in my question.

I’m trying to change
specific tittle and text sizes in SiteOrigin Features widget

Under widget styles attributes / CSS styles
I have used this:

font-size: 14px
.widget-title font-size: 18px

Work well for font size of text, but does not work for title font size.
I’m also unable to override font colors for that specific widgets I don’t want to override all font sizes or color site wide but only in some of widgets.

What CSS snypet should be used for that?

Hi, you only want to increase the font-size of the title widgets, right?
you have to put your code your style.css, but its recommended if you the code using custom css plugin.

try this code :

h3.widget-title {
  font-size: 38px;
}

btw, the default font-size of the title widget is 32px

excellent
Thank you Awan!

Hello. I would like to know how I can change the font size of the Moesia theme from 32px to 67px for example in CSS? That of the Sydney theme for example is:

.text-slider .maintitle {
position: relative;
display: inline-block;
font-size: 67px;
line-height: 83px;
font-weight: 700;
padding-bottom: 10px;

}

thank you in adavance!!!

Hello @gismael, please post your question in Moesia forum instead.

Regards,
Awan

Hi Awan

I’ve used your CSS code but it has no effect. My website is maverickbeanco.com.au.

Any help appreciated.

Hi there,

I’ve just checked your site, please try this code instead:

h1.sow-headline {
    font-size: 34px !important;
}

Regards,
Awan

Thanks Awan

I’ve tried the code but it doesn’t seem to work. I also tried:

h3.sow-headline {
font-size: 34px !important;
}

…and tried numbers as large as 100px, but nothing worked.

Any other ideas?

Hi,

Its for your front page, right? I can see that the code in above is working.
As default, the font size is 50px and now its 34px http://prntscr.com/fentpb

Awan

Hi Awan
No, it is for the pages where I have a side widget (e.g. Media, Recipes). The code doesn’t seem to be working. As I mentioned, I also tried changing h1 to h3, and have tried numbers as large as 100px.

Ah I see… But its seems like you are using text widgets? Please try these code:

.textwidget h1 {
    font-size: 34px;
}

Hi Awan

That didn’t seem to work either. That code does affect the size of font in main body of the page, but has no effect on the sidebar widget font.

Hi,

Please check this screenshot http://prntscr.com/fg5d3c.
If you meant the title page (point 1), then the code is already working. I already check your site.
But if you meant the title of the sidebar (point 2), then please add this code:

#secondary .widget-area .widget-title {
    font-size: 24px;
}

Regards,
Awan

Hi Awan
Yes, it is #2 I was referring to and your code worked! (though I had to remove the #secondary).
Thanks for your help and perseverance!
Cheers
Neil

Great! glad to know if its working :slight_smile:

I want to change the font style for the products title on shop and catagory pages to ‘Lato’ as currently it’s unreadable on my pages. See here: http://www.chcheck.co.uk/cultural-tour/

If i change in the customiser on sydney theme it will change it in my page title and in my slider image titles which I don’t want.

Any way to solve this?

Thank you!
