Changing default body text, paragraph styles, an line spacing

Hi,

I’m learning how to create a website - using xampp on my laptop, so am unable to provide links to what I’m doing\have done.

I’d like to know how to change the default body text, paragraph settings and line spacing settings, so that they apply across the whole site.

I don’t like the current defaults for the above (i.e. 1.5 line spacing etc), and , at the moment, am spending a lot of time correcting each page individually.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Hello there,

Styling the default typography/text is easy with CSS code which you can apply to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS. https://codex.wordpress.org/CSS

Sydney has an option to change the default body text, which can be find in the Appearance > Customize > Fonts > Body Fonts.

For body paragraph, you can use this CSS code:

.entry-content p {
  font-style: italic;
}

For line spacing, you can use CSS line-height property.

.entry-content p {
  line-height: 3;
}
