Change Widget color to transparent

Hi there,

I am relatively new to WordPress and the Sydney theme and adjusted the website of my team a bit. However, I encountered the problem that the widget/row is displayed as a white box, disturbing the non-white background. Can I easily change the Widget background to transparent using the CSS editor? If so, how can I do that.

Thanks for you help!

Hi Jannis,

Yes, you can add custom css code from code editor on a page. This is the code:

.page-wrap .content-wrapper {
    background-color: transparent;
}

OR

You can add it globally to all pages from Appereance > Customize > Additional CSS field.

Also you can still use Appereance > Customize > Additional CSS to apply different background to just specific page by using unique page ID class. Inspect that class with Chrome web editor (keyboard F12) https://www.screencast.com/t/ar9xRfvzG and then use this selector before previously provided code like this:

.page-id-1356 .page-wrap .content-wrapper {
    background-color: transparent;
}

and this should be the result https://www.screencast.com/t/n7rNChYArZ1m

Best Regards!

Thank you very much for the help!
It did the trick!
