Change text in the search box

I am creating a Spanish language site and want to replace the text “Search…” in the menu bar search box with “Buscar…”. I looked in the Theme Editor, but there doesn’t seem to be anyplace there where I can do that. I am assuming this is possible?

Try doing these steps:

  1. Install and activate the TC Custom JavaScript plugin
  2. Go To Appearance > Custom JavaScript
  3. Paste the following code into the provided box
    (function($){

      'use strict'
      
      $('.search-form .search-field').attr("placeholder", "Buscar…");

    })(jQuery);
  1. Update
