Change Color of Slider title and subtitle

I am trying to change the font color in the slider title from White to Black. I found CSS code from another topic and tried to apply it but it did not work:

    .slider-item:nth-of-type(2) .main-slider-caption.container h1,
    .slider-item:nth-of-type(2) .main-slider-caption.container p {
        color: red;
    }

Trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Try to change Header text and Header subtext in Customize → Colors section.
