Can f / x in upper menu area be removed?

In the upper left hand corner of the menu area, there’s a lower case f.

If I click on it, it becomes an x.

I’m not sure why it’s there, but would like to remove it.

Please advise – thanks.

Hi, that was a navigation to the social media like facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc

you can set the menu from appearance > menus > create new menu and add the url address to some of your social medias.

or you can remove it from customize > navigation > social > then leave blank for the social dropdown
