Button "click to begin"

Hi,

I installed Sydney Pro under following domain: http://hochzeitsvideos.berlin/
and try to create a button “click to begin” like it works together with a slider. But I don’t know how I can do that with a video like here: http://hochzeitsvideografraulvillaran.de/
The 2nd question is how is it possible to have a black underline under the menu like here again: http://hochzeitsvideografraulvillaran.de/

Thanks for your support
Klaus

Hello there,

Please try enabling video header through Appearance > Customize > Header area > Header type. Then upload your video to Appearance > Customize > Header Media. However the header text content and button are disabled on video type of header. To enable it, you can follow this simple jQuery code solution I wrote on WP.org community support channel:

To do that, you’d need to add the below extra custom CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

.site-header {
  background-color: rgba(0,0,0,1);
  margin-top: 54px;
}

Hello!

Is it possible to remove completely the “Click to Begin” Button in Sydney theme?

Thanks a lot!

Hello there,

From dashboard, visit Appearance > Customize > Header area > Header Slider. Then leave empty “URL for your call to action button” and “Text for your call to action button” fields.

Wow! Thanks so much!

Hello again Kharis,

And thanks again fro your prompt response!

I’m also struggling with a couple of things and I was wondering if you could help me?

  1. Delete the black underline under my Site Name (Nuria Cervera) and all the title pages like,“About Me”, “Contact” and so on. http://nuriacervera.com/

  2. The Site Name is not responsive in Mobile and Tablet. It looks huge when I access my website from my phone. Is there anything I can do to fix it? It was before I changed the Font with the “Easy Google Fonts” plugin.

Thanks in advance

Best,

Nuria

Hello there,

Edit the widget where that title resides in, expand the Attributes tab. Add a custom class name to Widget Class box, for example: remove-title-line. Repeat this procedure on your other widgets.

Then add this extra CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS from dashboard.

.panel-grid-cell .remove-title-line .widget-title:after {
  display: none;
}

To hide all widget title’s underline, you can use this code:

.panel-grid-cell .widget-title:after {
  display: none;
}

> 2

To change it on certain screen size, you can use CSS media query. For example:

@media only screen and (max-width:800px) {

  .text-slider .maintitle {
    font-size: 30px !important;
    line-height: 40px !important;
  }

}

@media only screen and (max-width:480px) {

  .text-slider .maintitle {
    font-size: 20px !important;
    line-height: 28px !important;
  }

}
