Blog Posts: Remove brackets [...] when excerpt lenght = 0

Hi there,

Thank you very much for this lovely theme!!!

Is there a Custom CSS code to entirely remove those brackets showing up, if I type excerpt length=0 ???
I already found a topic where I could change it to “READ MORE”, but I want to hide it compeletely…

Thank you very much for your help in this matter…

Kind Regards,
Ann-Kathrin

Hello there,

Try to add this function into your child theme’s functions.php file.

function sydney_child_elipsis_link($content) {
   return str_replace('[…]', '', $content);
}
add_filter('the_excerpt', 'sydney_child_elipsis_link');

Or you can use the Functionality plugin without a child theme.
