Blog post page display

Hello,

The display of the posts pages on my blog home page:

  • is showing a ‘1’ in the preview copy… I would like to remove.

  • and I would like to use a feature image to show up here, but I would not like to have it show up on the actual blog post page. I would like to use a hero image on the actual blog post. Is that possible?

Here is an example of the feature image and the hero image both showing up:

Hi there,

  1. Since number “1” is displayed just on some posts and actual single post content doesn’t contain it it is vert likely that it is there because you have defined custom excerpt for these posts. Try to edit each post and check if number is inside excerpt field and remove it if it is https://www.screencast.com/t/BlDsEu1iyHWb , since there is no way that I can suggest some code to remove it since it is wrapped within same tag as other text in the excerpt https://www.screencast.com/t/fVahpqdiF

  2. To hide featured image from all single posts, apply custom css code below from Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS field:

    body.single-post .single-thumb {
    display: none;
    }

and result should look like this https://www.screencast.com/t/6rpdPNcfh

Best Regards!
