I know I must be overlooking the obvious answer here, but …

I started my site as a blog only site, with my latest blog posts being my front page (grid/masonry style).

Now that I’ve built a static front page, I cant’ figure out where the main blog page is or how to build it. Where does one’s “Blog” menu item point to?

So from Customize > Static Front Page you assign your front page and your blog page. Then from Appearance > Menus you can select the page you’ve set for your blog and put it in the menu. This a WP core thing and it’s done the same in all themes.
