Blog page(s)

Hi,

Sorry about this fairly basic question in advance…
I have been so focused on creating blank pages to use the page builder on.

I haven’t had any desire for a blog… until now.

So how do I create a page with all the blog features and template?

Thanks!

Zach

Hello Zach,

  1. Please create a new blank page and name it, for example, Blog.

  2. Please go to your Dashboard -> Settings -> Reading -> select the page from Posts page: drop-down menu -> scroll down and click Save Changes.

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Thanks Roman!

I got that done. However, I cannot seem to edit the page like normal.

I am trying to decrease (or eliminate) the opacity for the content wrapper.
I changed the opacity value to 0.3 on the “edit post” page, and the “edit page” page,
but neither will change the opacity of the white content wrapper.

I just clicked on the blog post, and the POST page for that one post does have a 0.3 content wrapper opacity. However, the page that “shows my latest posts” (/blog) still will not change when I change the opacity value in the editor.

Thanks!

Okay Zach,

I would be glad to help you, but can you please provide a link to your website and some explanatory screenshots?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Certainly!

This is the link to the page in question: http://zachwillason.com/blog/

This is a picture of the change I made: http://postimg.org/image/84njbudkx/

And this is a picture of the result (lack there of): http://postimg.org/image/s8mvfhtk1/

Thanks man!

Looks like it is not default feature, but I will try to help you.

Please try to use the following CSS code to make content wrapper background of your blog page the same as content wrapper background of single post:

.blog .page-wrap .content-wrapper {
    background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.3) !important;
}

You can add CSS code to style.css file of your child theme, also you can use Simple Custom CSS or similar plugin for adding CSS code.

I hope that it will help you.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman!

What do you mean by “looks like it is not default feature”?

However, that added CSS worked! So the problem is solved!

Thanks for the help!!

Zach

You are welcome Zach!

I thought that it was added by some plugin.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Nope… that is a feature provided by Sydney Pro… haha

It has worked on all my other pages. But for some reason it didn’t work
when I changed that page to be my blog posts page.

Thanks again.
