Background

Hi,

I am having a small issue with one of the pages. My site: www.maratataki.com
please go to M-Teaching/Pilates Technique, you will notice that inside this page there is a background. I don’t know how to remove it or add a background in the other pages: Gyrotonic and M-Ballet Body

Elie

Hi,

You can remove the white background of the content with this Custom CSS:

.page .hentry {
    background-color: transparent !important;
}

Also if you want to remove all the double-lines too, then use this Custom CSS too:

.page .hentry {
    background-color: transparent !important;
    border: 0 !important;
}

.entry-header {
    border-bottom: 0 !important;
}

.entry-footer {
    border-top: 0 !important;
}

and you want to change the background image on some if your pages? If yes, then please post links to the pages and also to the image to what you want to changes, so I can give you the correct Custom CSS to change them.

Add the above CSS to your Child Theme’s style.css or in case you haven’t setup a Child Theme already, then you can also use this plugin to add the CSS to it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ so you will not loose the changes on theme updates.

Please let me know how it works.

Best Regards,
Csaba

Hi Csaba,

Thank you for your answer. I don’t have a Child Theme and I have the simple-custom-css installed.

In this page:
http://maratataki.com/?page_id=2674
there is a background that i cannot remove and don’t know how it got there.

Those are the pages i want to add a background to:
http://maratataki.com/?page_id=2678
http://maratataki.com/?page_id=2686
http://maratataki.com/?page_id=2746
http://maratataki.com/?page_id=2749
http://maratataki.com/?page_id=2751

Elie

Hi,

For the Pilates page you have background image set, but you can change it with this Custom CSS:

.page-id-2674 {
    background-image: url('your-image-URL-here') !important;
    background-attachment: fixed !important;
    background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
    background-size: cover !important;
}

Also you can add background image to all your other pages with this Custom CSS ( the pages are in the same order you posted the links in your above post ):

.page-id-2678 {
    background-image: url('your-image-URL-here') !important;
    background-attachment: fixed !important;
    background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
    background-size: cover !important;
}

.page-id-2686 {
    background-image: url('your-image-URL-here') !important;
    background-attachment: fixed !important;
    background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
    background-size: cover !important;
}

.page-id-2746 {
    background-image: url('your-image-URL-here') !important;
    background-attachment: fixed !important;
    background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
    background-size: cover !important;
}

.page-id-2749 {
    background-image: url('your-image-URL-here') !important;
    background-attachment: fixed !important;
    background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
    background-size: cover !important;
}

.page-id-2751 {
    background-image: url('your-image-URL-here') !important;
    background-attachment: fixed !important;
    background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
    background-size: cover !important;
}

Add the above Custom CSS to simple-custom-css and make sure to change the “your-image-URL-here” text from CSS with your image’s URL and let me know how it works.

Best Regards,
Csaba

Thanks Csaba, your suggestions work fine… but please tell where did I originally set the background image for the Pilates page?

Thanks again and regards
Elie

Hi,

Maybe with some Custom CSS, I saw the Page ID Custom CSS in inspector, so it was set with CSS.

Csaba
