Applying superscript (TM) to slider text

Good morning all,

In the Sydney theme slider text, I make mention to my brand name which is trademarked.
I would like this to read as follows “Welcome to XXXXXXX TM” (where TM is superscript)

When ‘customizing’ the subtitle for first slide text, I’ve added TM coding. This shows in the preview as superscript TM as expected.
However once published and refreshed, the line reads the following on the actual site.
“Welcome to XXXXXXX TM

Could you advise how I can get the TM to remain superscript once published?

Many thanks indeed.

Hello there,

Use a /TM/ special code in your slide title.

Then do the below steps:

  1. Install and activate the TC Custom JavaScript plugin
  2. Go To Appearance > Custom JavaScript
  3. Paste the following code into the provided box
    ;(function($) {

      $( '.text-slider-stopped .text-slider .maintitle' ).html(function(index,html){
        return html.replace('/TM/','<sup>TM</sup>');
      });

    })(jQuery);
  1. Update

Hi Kharis,
Thank you so much as always for your help.

I have followed the steps you suggested, but unfortunately this has not worked.
I updated, and also cleared my site’s cache, but no change.

To note, I tested this with the “Title for first slide”
But I would like the change to be in the subtitle, in case that changes the JS code?

Hello there,

For subtitle, use this code:

    ;(function($) {

      $( '.text-slider-stopped .text-slider .subtitle' ).html(function(index,html){
        return html.replace('/TM/','<sup>TM</sup>');
      });

    })(jQuery);

In your subtitle text, you’d have something like this:

43

Thanks again Kharis,

It’s still not working unfortunately.
Do you have other suggestions?

Many thanks.

Hello there,

Thank you for sharing. Try this code:

    ;(function($) {

      $( '.header-slider .text-slider .subtitle' ).html(function(index,html){
        return html.replace('/TM/','<sup>TM</sup>');
      });

    })(jQuery);
