Anchor Tags Scrolling Too Far

#1

Currently when I click an anchor tag it takes me so far down the page, that my floating navigation covers the content I am trying to anchor to. Is there a fix for this? I haven’t seen anything while searching through the forums, even though it appears other people are having this problem, but it does seem that the demo version on your site is fine. I just downloaded the theme yesterday, so it should be the latest.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not really sure why it’s not working properly for the #primary ID on your site but you can go to Customize > Header Area > Header Slider and switch the link field from #primary to #content and it should work as expected.

I have the same problem. Changing the text from #primary to #content didn’t make any difference. This is on a staging site I’m working on, not my actual site, but that shouldn’t affect performance, should it?

Hello Debbie,

Try adding more padding to your first row as height as the header.

@media only screen and (min-width:992px){

  #pg-24220-0 > .panel-row-style{
    padding-top: 206px !important;
  }

}

You can insert custom CSS code above into the child theme’s style.css or use the Simple Custom CSS plugin.

Kharis

Thanks for responding so quickly! I use Jetpack CSS; very handy. Actually, I found a partial answer from someone else’s query. In the end, this is what worked for me:

.site-header.fixed {
position: absolute !important;
}

This brings it perfectly to the next section and displays it completely.
