Add social icon

Hello!
How to add another social icon to the top of the theme ? Dailymotion and others…

Hello chris19752,

Can you please provide a link to your website and some explanatory screenshots?

You can upload screenshots to your WordPress Media Library and share a link, or you can use one of the online services (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).

Kind Regards, Roman.

Merci ! :slight_smile:

Hello chris19752,

Thank you for the screenshot and link. I don’t think that there is an easy way to do this. One of the reasons is that Font Awesome doesn’t include Dailymotion icon.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello Roman,

Damn, I think I’ll do it manually, is what you can tell me or what is the code line of social icons?

Thanks

Hello chris19752,

It looks like this issue requires some coding and testing, this goes beyond our support policy. It’s considered advanced customization. As an option, you can find a reputable freelancer on Upwork for this kind of service.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello Roman !

Hello,
I found icons that I would add on social icons. How to add?

http://fontawesome.io/icon/film/ To replace the icon that does not exist in dailymotion
and
http://fontawesome.io/icon/soundcloud/

Thank you !

Hello chris19752,

You can try to do this with jQuery.

  1. Please install and activate Insert Headers and Footers plugin that will allow you to insert JavaScript (jQuery) code.

  2. Go to your Dashboard → Settings → Insert Headers and Footers → add the following code to Scripts in Header section, and click Save button.

<script>
    jQuery(document).ready(function(){
        jQuery('ul.nav.nav-pills.auth-social-nav').append('<li><a href="http://example.com"><i class="fa fa-film"></i></a></li>');

        jQuery('ul.nav.nav-pills.auth-social-nav').append('<li><a href="http://example.com"><i class="fa fa-soundcloud"></i></a></li>');
    });
</script>

Just replace both http://example.com instances with your own links.

Kind Regards, Roman.

It works perfectly !! thank you !! : D

Oops, I apologize, I should have asked earlier, how to make appear the names of the icons when passing the mouse on the icon?

Thank you !!
