Add full width header image to post page template

Hello:

Is it possible to add a full width header image to all post pages?
Is there a way to modify the post page template to allow this?

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us here.

It can be easily achieved by enabling the “Featured header image” template on the “Page Attributes” option and set a featured image.

Hi Kharis:

I have set it on my template page but it’s not transferring to the posts. I think it may have been working in earlier stages of the site dev but when I tried to recreate the template page for my blog, it stopped working and I have not been able to make it work again.

I have managed to get it to work using a custom header plugin but I’d prefer to have it working without this additional customizing step if possible to reduce the chances of problems in the future.

Is there an easy solution or should I just continue to use the custom header plugin?

I was wondering if it might be a server-side cache issue perhaps?

Here’s a sample post page:

Hello there,

Sorry for suggesting wrong direction. Please try to use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/unique-headers/

You can set the header image in the “Custom header” metabox.

Thanks Kharis!

No worries. Just go easy on it.
